Great ice cream for a greater cause

Sharon was a UC Davis postdoctoral plant biology researcher who was tragically killed while working in Ethiopia, training a young Ethiopian scientist in using molecular equipment and tools.

So when her close friend, Emily Delaney, approached our club to see how we could partner, we jumped at the opportunity to help.

SI Davis has long been a supporter of women in STEM, and we're grateful for this opportunity to contribute to her family's efforts to continue her legacy through the Sharon Gray Memorial Scholarship.

Stop by anytime on Wednesday, Nov. 9 to enjoy some delicious ice cream and celebrate this bright human being!

If you'd like to contribute further, visit the family's GoFundMe page: About SI Davis: Soroptimist International is a global volunteer organization working to improve the lives of women and children. The SI Davis club was formed in 1954. We are an active group of professionals, volunteers and retirees dedicated to serving our community year-round through programs and projects. Our areas of interest include foster youth, anti-human trafficking and mentorship for high school girls.
