Sponsorship of Venture Club

In April of 1961 a group of young working girls interested in community service met with members of the Soroptimist Club of Davis and discussed the procedure of forming a Venture Club. On June 3, 1961 the Venture Club of Davis was chartered in St. James Parish Hall.

Harried Peterson, Venture Governor of Southwestern Region presented the charter. We sponsor the Venture Club of Davis and together we share running a beer booth in the Farmer’s Market "Picnic in the Park" each Wednesday.
